Okay, here it is, I’m officially warning you. If you keep reading this blog, you will swoon and fall in love with Emilie and Steve. Read at your own discretion, This Aquatopia wedding will steal your heart.
Under the Californian sun
Emilie went to California just to visit a friend, but she ended up bringing home this surfer guy instead. Emilie is from Ottawa, and Steve from Cali, but when they met on her trip they instantly hit it off! When she told her family that she was bringing him home to meet them, they were initially weary. Who falls in love with a stranger while on vacation?
As soon as her family spoke to Steve, they also fell in love. Steve is the epitome of love. He treats Emilie like a queen and could not take his eyes off of her, even for a moment. These two fell hard for each other, and everyone could see it.
Going the distance
It’s no secret that it can be really hard to be a long distance couple. Even when you move in together, you end up with family and friends spread out all over the world. While it will be difficult, it’s still totally possible.
For Emilie + Steve’s big day, everyone was so damn supportive. People flew in from around the world to be there for them, even the wedding party had to cross some big distance to join the couple! These two were magnetic and it shows. Their speeches, the guests and their families were just so happy to see them finally married.
These two bring everyone together. It’s so hard not to love them. The whole room was filled
with people who would follow them anywhere. The kind of people you’d meet on a trip, become
the best of friends and actually stay in touch with. Emilie and Steve are such kind and warm people that you can’t help but want to follow them till the ends of the Earth. I can officially say that I am one of those meeting, even after our short time together while I was their photographer!
The Dream Aquatopia wedding
This duo chose Aquatopia as their venue for a dreamy black and white themed wedding. Aquatopia did an amazing job of this wedding – everything was stunning and so well done.The photos really speak for themselves, but I’m still not over how gorgeous this wedding was.
Aquatopia is a greenhouse/event space, so naturally they have the most incredible florals and greenery. By opting for a black and white colour scheme, they were able to showcase the natural beauty of this venue! The whole wedding had such a timeless feel to it.
I’m currently writing this blog post from Italy, where I’m photographing a destination wedding. I’ve been away from home for a month already (which is hard to believe), so cross your fingers for me to bring home a handsome Italian man at the end of my trip! I’m kidding, we can’t all be as lucky as Emilie and Steve!
