Sophie is amazing. As a bride, I was stressed already. As a COVID bride, I was a mess. Sophie not only rolled with it but was so encouraging and excited to jump right in. She dealt with date changes, venue changes, hour changes, and ever evolving COVID restrictions with grace and understanding. On top of this, she also delivered magazine worthy images of our day (HINT: add an album and prints to your budget because you will want to get all of them). Even more, shortly after our wedding my grandfather died and Sophie was the holder of the last images of him. Before delivering the gallery to us she separated the photos of him in a different section so we did not have to look at them if we were not ready and it was just the kindest thing and we appreciate that more than words can say. There wasn't anyone else I could imagine trusting to capture such an important day. My husband and I chose to elope in Tuscany, Italy. Organizing it was chaotic, but Sophie was an imperative part of the process. We flew out with 20 of our friends and family to get married in an Italian villa in wine country.Sophie was with us for the entire week, and while she may have come on the trip as our photographer, she left as everyone's friend too. She was a delight from start to finish.The day of the wedding comes, and she helped direct us on where to find the best lighting, and gave our group prompts to help us capture the moment. She even managed to wrangle our rowdy groomsmen into formal portraits.Sophie sent us a few sneak peaks the next day, and I bawled. I couldn't believe that we had really done this crazy thing. The photos were so much more than what I had dreamed of. I've never felt so beautiful in my life. Where to begin!!!! My husband and I discovered Sophie through some of our friends who had hired her for their wedding, and we were blown away with their photos! Sophie was very responsive and professional from the get-go, we met virtually for the first time and she was able to answer our (many) questions. We planned to have a destination wedding, and knowing Sophie had experience working abroad definitely gave us peace of mind. Both my Husband and I always wanted film photos done for our wedding and she was more than excited to shoot some film for us! Sophie captured our day so perfectly.
